CPN Sustainable Neighborhoods Meeting, Aug 27th
Congress Park Sustainable Neighborhood Leadership Meeting
Saturday, August 27, 9-11:00 AM
Capitol Heights Presbyterian Church (1100 Fillmore)
Taylor Moellers, Sustainable Neighborhoods Program Coordinator
Thank you to all of those who joined us for the Congress Park Sustainable Neighborhoods Kickoff on August 11th!
Ready to get started planning projects and initiatives? Or couldn’t make it to the kickoff but still want to get involved? We will be meeting on Saturday, August 27th from 9 to 11am at Capitol Heights Presbyterian Church (1100 Fillmore Street).
Some of the initiatives that received the most interest at the kickoff include: Clean Streets and Alleys, Rain Barrels, Touring a Recycling Plant, Pollinator Workshops, Community Gardens, and Asset Mapping. During this meeting you will be able to work with neighbors to plan workshops, events, and projects around these topics and more. We will also train you on how to use the website to submit your proposal and credit forms.
Everyone is welcome! The meeting officially starts at 9am, but come by at 8:30am to enjoy some breakfast snacks and mingling.
Can't make the meeting? We still want to hear from you!
The Congress Park Neighbors Green Team welcomes all levels of involvement in activities, big or small. If there’s something you’d like to do, there are probably other neighbors that want to do that too. Let us know your ideas, and together we can build an Outstanding Sustainable Neighborhood!

CPNGT Steering Committee Update
The CPNGT Steering Committee met on August 15 to review a draft Communications Strategy authored by Patrick Treleani (Thanks, Patrick!). A Communications Team formed to take the strategy from plan to action. Volunteers with expertise in communications (e.g., social media, websites, writing, etc) will be needed so please stay tuned!
