Earth Month 2019
Celebrating Earth Day all month long!
April is a special month. It’s the month during which we celebrate Earth Day worldwide. Here in Congress Park, we can’t seem to limit our celebrations to one day. Instead, the Green Team hosts events in support of Planet Earth throughout the month of April. Events typically focus on actions you can take right now to reduce your environmental footprint. Events are also designed to introduce you to Congress Park neighbors already taking action and willing to share their experience. All events are free and open to the public!
Events planned include:
- Water-Wise Garden Club Kickoff Meeting – Saturday, April 6th, noon-1pm, Sewall (10th and Fillmore Streets)
- Carbon Diet Challenge Kickoff Meeting – Tuesday, April 9th, 6-8pm, Capitol Heights Church (1100 Fillmore Street)
- “All-Things-Recycling” – Saturday, April 20th, 2-5pm, Waste Team Sidewalk Table, (12th and Madison Streets)
Stay tuned here for more information on upcoming events.
