East Colfax Vision Zero Improvements
From: VisionZero – PW VisionZero@denvergov.org
Good morning,
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve safety across the city, Vision Zero safety improvements will be installed at 15 intersections along East Colfax Avenue beginning on January 6. These improvements will help increase pedestrian and cyclist visibility and slow driver’s speeds while turning.
The first document attached to this e-mail provide the flyer that members from Denver Public Works will be distributing to businesses next week to inform them of the project. The second document highlights the improvements planned for each intersection.
Four parking meters will be removed to make room for these safety improvements and the businesses immediately adjacent to removed meters will receive flyers next week. Construction is anticipated to occur between the hours of 8:30a – 3:30p, due to noise ordinance and peak traffic concerns. Construction is anticipated to last 1-2 days at each intersection, weather depending, with a likely total construction time of 2 weeks across the corridor. Construction will begin at Grant St and will move east through the corridor.
Best,
Vision Zero Project Team
E. Colfax and Adams will be part of the improvement.
