At the time Jane Jacobs was born in 1916, the Congress Park neighborhood was known as Capitol Heights. Already incorporated into Denver, our middle class suburb was firmly established yet still growing. Through photowalking, story sharing and a self-guided scavenger hunt, neighbors of all ages will develop a picture of how and why for the past 100 years Congress Park has been great place to live. Bring your passion for exploring and if you wish, a camera, sketchpad, neighborhood stories and trivia. On this walk expect to meet neighbors and learn about the heritage of our neighborhood in an informal setting.
