Congress Park Neighbors Inc Feb 2021 Meeting

This meeting will have two speakers: Both Congress Park residents

Jacqueline Altreuter Project Lead for DMNS Nearby Nature in City Park https://www.dmns.org/natureplay

This project will restore portions of the historic DeBoer Waterway as a sustainable creek bed with water that runs the course of natural play experiences, based on Colorado’s eight ecosystems. The community’s voice is guiding project design . Prior community feedback has led to design concepts that include multi-sensory, self-directed, inclusive, multigenerational, multi-seasonal play, along with opportunities for learning, respite and engagement through authentic, natural, playful experiences for people of all ages and abilities.

STRAC and Excise and Licenses have made significant improvements in the processes related to STRs and made significant recommendations for changes in the STR Ordinance, which City Council adopted this year.

Christopher Schooler Parks and Recreation  Planning
Denver Parks and Recreation will provide a brief update on the playground design project. They will speak to the ‘Preferred Alternative’ design which was developed from 3 iterations presented with public forums. They will also present the timeline for construction documents. They will also be joined by members of the DPR Pool Design Team to get a brief update on the construction that will be starting in the next month. Both teams will be happy to field a few questions.
