I am new to CO. I live in a 1970s 60 unit apartment building that does not offer a recycling dumpster. I’ve done my research and spoken to EcoCycle and Chris Hinds. There doesn’t appear to be a coordinated effort to convince above 7 unit property owners to offer recycling. Is that correct? Would love some help if it’s available.
Hi Julia, thanks for contacting us. Looks like there is an effort to get this on the ballot for the Nov election. https://www.wastetodaymagazine.com/article/denver-ballot-proposal-requires-compost-and-recycling-services-at-businesses/ . Here is another article from Jan of this year https://denverite.com/2021/01/05/voters-might-decide-whether-to-make-apartment-buildings-and-businesses-compost-and-recycle-their-waste/
This is the ballot initiative if you want to read more about it or volunteer https://www.wastenomoredenver.org/
