CURRENT CONGRESS PARK NEWS
The Congress Park Neighbors Board represents the neighborhood with various groups whose
work impacts Congress Park neighborhood, such as INC, and the City Park and Botanic Gardens
neighborhood liaison groups. Some Congress Park Board members are also
members of INC and City Park Friends and Neighbors (CPFAN). They keep CPN, Inc. apprised
of issues as INC shares issues affecting large swaths of the city, and as CPFAN addresses
best practices for maintaining City Park as a green oasis for the city and its nearby neighbors.

A beautiful night, Frank Snell walking tour
At the beginning of Let’s Be Frank: a walking field study, we gathered on the porch of Barbara and Frank, two of our neighbors. About 50 people participated. We divided into small groups and explored Colfax A, Colfax B, Madison and Cook streets. Two hours later, a half-dozen remained on the porch, pondering many aspects of our historic neighborhood. Teller Elementary Food Backpack Program
Teller Elementary Backpack Families program needs your help. Last year Teller Elementary realized that it had hungry students in its classrooms and started a “backpack for families” program which allowed them to feed 40 people each week and Congress Park Neighbors made a donation to help.Through your generous support Teller Backpack Friends hope to feed 60 people a week, allowing students to concentrate on studies instead of a growling stomach. … Continue reading →
